AATi is an acknowledged leading manufacturer and supplier of high footfall, fixed-stair safety treads and stair nosings for many pedestrian environments. These include rail and underground stations, shopping malls, multi-storey car parks, and railway carriage and platform thresholds.
Our encapsulated silicon carbide and cast metal composite antislip gratings, plates, insets bars and over 130 different stair nosing designs have a typical life span of 30 years, whilst high-grade aluminium products provide an economic and effective alternative for low-footfall areas.
The highly skilled workforce at our Essex-based foundry, cast a wide range of antislip wear, including bespoke castings for unique settings, using cast irons, as well as copper and aluminium alloys. All production is undertaken to UK and European standards.

Old Street station is currently undergoing a major upgrade which includes works to remove the outdated 1960s roundabout and create a transformed environment that is safer for cycling and walking. The work will see the northwest arm of the roundabout close permanently to all traffic, creating a major new public space with improved walking and cycling access to Old Street station.
