NSBC Membrane Recycling Service

In partnership with our Newton Specialist Basement Contractor (NSBC) network, Newton is proud to operate our multi-award winning NSBC Membrane Recycling Service, the first and only scheme of its kind in the Structural Waterproofing Industry. The Service is a tailor made “back to base” membrane recycling facility, whereby Newton and their NSBCs actively recycle off-cuts of virgin and recycled HDPE from commercial and domestic construction sites throughout the UK.

Structural Waterproofing:

Newton Waterproofing Systems provide full structural waterproofing solutions for both the refurbishment and new-build arenas to protect the entire structure from water ingress.

Newton provide waterproofing products for all three types of waterproofing as defined within BS 8102:2009:

• Type A (barrier) protection – Newton System 100 and Newton System 400
• Type B (structurally integral) protection – Newton System 300
• Type C (drained) protection – Newton System 500

Damp Proofing:

Damp problems such as rising damp and penetrating damp lead to damp walls and can seriously damage your property. Even minimal damp penetration or rising damp will cause discolouration to surface plaster on walls, decorations and can even affect a building’s structural integrity. Newton Waterproofing offer a wide range of BBA approved damp proof membranes and ancillaries which are quick and clean to install and offer a permanent solution for damp proofing above ground walls.

Basement Waterproofing:

Newton System 500 Internal Basement Waterproofing: For basement waterproofing (often referred to as tanking), Newton System 500 offers a proven, innovative and highly effective waterproof membrane solution.

Newton System 400 External Waterproofing Membranes: When placed to the retaining wall these membranes protect the primary waterproofing membrane from impact and water pressure, diverting water down to a perforated land drain for removal.

Deck Waterproofing:

The waterproofing of podium decks and balconies is often an important requirement of a complete structural waterproofing solution. Due to the clients’ requirements to maximise the available space, we frequently find that the below ground structure will extend beyond the footprint of the above ground building. It is therefore essential that these areas and the detailing at ground floor level are completely impervious to water ingress.

Ground Gas Waterproofing and Radon Protection:

The Newton PAC “Positive Air Curtain” 500 System is a combined basement waterproofing and ground gas mitigation system which successfully controls both water and gas levels within below ground/retaining structures.

Sump Pumps & Packaged Pumps:

Whether you need to control clear ground water, grey water, effluent or sewage, Newton supply a complete range of the highest specification pumps available for all your pumping requirements.

Damp Floors:

For treating damp or wet floors, we supply a full range of floor membranes. All our floor membranes can be used as a stand-alone product for dealing with a specific damp floor problem, or they can be used as part of a well-designed Newton System 500 waterproofing scheme.

External Drainage:

Newtons supply two quality external drainage membranes for the reliable removal of ground water. Newton 406 Geodrain has a 6mm drainage layer and a vertical water flow of 1.27 litres per metre squared per second. Newton 410 Geodrain has a 10mm drainage layer and a vertical water flow of 4.60 litres per metre squared per second.

Concrete Structures:

Newton System 300 products are used to waterproof joints and service penetrations to concrete elements, to provide Type B integrally waterproof retained structures that require no further waterproofing to be completely watertight.

Range highlights include Hauff-Technik Sealing Systems for reliably sealing cable, pipe and line entries, Newton 301 EasyProof metal waterbar for immediate protection against water pressure, and our range of high-quality TRADECC injection resins that are ideal for specialist water-sealing, tunnelling and concrete repair projects.

The Newton RASCOtank System is a unique and patented form of Type B concrete structural waterproofing in the UK, born out of an exclusive partnership between Newton Waterproofing Systems and RASCOR International.

The unique RASCOtank system ensures that the concrete acts as both the structure and the waterproofing. The system provides comprehensive “Type B” waterproofing in compliance with British Standard 8102:2009, and as a standalone system it is capable of delivering a ‘Grade 2’ basement and with added ventilation it can even achieve ‘Grade 3’ protection.

As the UK licensed partner of the RiveStop System, a unique and patented method for sealing tie holes in concrete walls, Newton can deliver massive savings on time and cost with this simple system.

Comprised of three elements, RivePipe, RiveOut & RiveStop, the system is reliable, reusable, easy to use, quick to install and durable, ensuring a 100% watertight, permanent seal for the lifetime of the concrete.
