Soil and Drain Cast Iron Drainage.

We specialise in the manufacture of cast iron above and below ground drainage systems and rainwater and gutter systems. Its products includes  Classical cast iron rainwater and gutter systems, the Ensign complete above and below system and the EEZI-FIT cast iron push-fit sanitary drainage system.

PAM VortX is our range of floor drainage products. Consisting of cast iron floor gullies and shower gullies, gratings and rodding eyes in nickel bronze and stainless steel, and associated inserts, extension pieces, adaptors and connectors. Designed in accordance wirh BS EN 1253 the VortX range extends the Ensign and Timesaver product offer, but will connect to any drainage pipe materials.

Our offer covers pipes and fittings from 80mm to 2000mm, as well as a range of valves and couplings and adapters. Our extensive range of Couplings & Adapters offer a sustainable solution to pipeline flow and control, with high strength to low weight ratio, adaptability and increasingly sophisticated design.

Saint-Gobain PAM Logistics Update – 8th July 2021

It is clear that the haulage industry in the UK is currently facing huge challenges and, as such, we thought it would be useful to give you a quick update to reassure you about your PAM deliveries.

In partnership with XPO, we have our own Saint-Gobain PAM delivery fleet which we use to operate our standard weekly delivery schedule. We are proud of this fleet especially the fact that 35% of our mileage is now covered using low carbon LNG vehicles. There is no change to our weekly delivery service and you can place your orders with confidence.

When you need something a little bit quicker, we are still offering a carrier service but we need to make you aware that delivery times may be extended to 48 hours if there is high volume in the carrier networks and/or in some parts of the country. Nevertheless, we are still delivering 96% of our carrier deliveries within 24 hours. If you would prefer to come and collect your order directly from our stock-ground then please talk to our customer service or sales teams and we will make the appropriate arrangements for you.

Similarly, if you need a special transport solution let us know as soon as you can so we can plan your delivery in good time. The more information you can share with us about your future delivery needs the better.

GEOFLEX® SLIDING, FLEXIBLE AND EXTENDIBLE DUCTILE IRON FITTING SOLUTION FOR APPLICATIONS REQUIRING RESISTANCE TO SUBSIDENCE AND DIFFERENTIAL SETTLEMENT

The Issues faced
Arch Henderson Design Consultants were tasked with designing a new water main to supply potable water to docked vessels when moored to a new jetty being built within the Port of Dublin. The water main would pass through docking structures called Dolphins designed to be flexible to allow for the rise and fall of the tide. An immediate solution was hard to find so they asked for the support of the Saint-Gobain PAM UK Technical Team.

Findings
The Dolphin docking structures are connected by a series of walkways with the water main suspended underneath. At one end of the walkway it has a flexible connection that needs to accommodate 2.5 degrees of movement in each direction. At the other, a sliding bearing to allow ± 100mm of lateral movement and ± 240mm longitudinal movement and ± 2.5° of rotation.

Solution
GEOFLEX® represents a truly innovative approach to product design. It offers a flexible and expandable ductile-iron fitting solution that has been specifically developed to protect pipelines against the risk of displacement and damage caused by ground movement, differential movement between structures or risk of subsidence.

Thanks to its pioneering design and extreme flexibility, the GEOFLEX® system simultaneously compensates for expansion, contraction, deflection, rotation and angular deflection stresses.

It is available in a range of diameters DN 100 to DN 1800 range can be used for operating pressures of up to 16 bar.
