Automatic Doors are our speciality at Axis Entrance Systems Ltd. Axis is the sole UK distributor of Stanley automatic door equipment. This includes the Dura-Glide range of sliding doors and telescoping doors, plus swing doors as well as other specialist applications including Hospital ICU/CCU Doors and Clean Room Doors.

Axis Flo-Motion® award winning manual sliding doors feature fingertip control and were initially developed specially for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital to provide large glazed doors with integral blinds that could be operated with minimum force. These are complemented by a range of Manusa hermetic sealed automatic doors.

We offer a full supply installation and commissioning service complete with aluminium entrances, facades and curtain walling where required. We employ a variety of safety and activation sensors from Hotron, BEA and Optex.

A full range of access control products is also available for either security or DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) requirements, including Keylex digital mechanical locks, Bewator keypads, Paxton proximity readers and swipe cards. We are distributors and approved installers for FAAC car park barriers.

Our full portfolio also includes the supply and installation of roller shutters and steel doors. Architectural Ironmongery includes LCN door closers and Von Duprin escape hardware for emergency exits.

The Automatic Door Suppliers Association (ADSA) has a code of practice that includes adherence to EN16005:2012 and Axis Automatic Entrance Systems are active members.

Stanley Automatic Doors

The Stanley range of Automatic Doors includes Dura-Glide Sliding or Telescoping Doors plus Swing Doors, Bi-folding Doors and Bypass Doors - so the correct solution can be specified for any installation.

Perhaps most critical of all, Axis recommends all installations comply with EN16005:2012 (formerly BS7306:1996) with regard to safety. Axis employs ADSA Authorised Technicians (Automatic Door Suppliers Association) for the specification, supply, installation and maintenance of automatic door operators as per the guidelines of EN16005:2012 (formerly BS7306:1996 - code of practice for safety at powered doors for pedestrian use). This code of practice covers not just the aspects of safety during the opening and closing cycle but also during the installation of the door. It also defines the maximum forces needed to operate the doors manually or breakout during an emergency. It even covers items like signage and the need for an annual inspection.

All Axis installations are in accordance with EN16005:2012 and are carried out by our accredited engineers.

Curtain Walling and Aluminium Shopfront Systems

The Axis Curtain Wall system is an economic and aesthetically pleasing solution to façade cladding. The system is suitable for use on all buildings where good thermal and weather performance is required and is suitable for low rise applications up to 20m tall.

The Shopfront system has profiles to suit both flush glazed and bead glazed applications, or a mix of the two. The Glazing Bar system has been designed for both the commercial and domestic markets, and conforms to BS5516 (British Standard Code of Practice for patent glazing). The system can be used with all popular fills including 6mm glass, multi-wall polycarbonate sheet, and double glazed units.

Access Control

Axis also supply a wide range of access control products including keypads, proximity sensors, door entry kits, ID cards and access tokens.

Disabled people are deemed to need an automatic door to access retail outlets, offices, schools, hospitals, etc. but, when it comes to toilets they are usually expected to be able to open the door unaided. The Disabled Persons Toilet System enables existing disabled toilet doors to be automated for full or low energy automatic control.

Axis is the proud manufacturer of the Flo-Motion® manual sliding door system developed for the Healthcare sector which is now included as a standard component within the Procure 22 framework.

Launched at HCE15, the multi award winning AXIS Flo-Motion® manual sliding door employs a special low-resistance track system that can be operated with minimal effort using finger-tip control. Custom-designed by Axis for the new Liverpool Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, with its wide open-aspect wards, Flo-Motion® manual sliding doors have now been installed in 18 hospitals throughout the UK and specified for many more on-going projects.

In 2016, the telescopic door was added to the range of sliding and bi-parting doors. This is continuing to prove ideal for both new-build and refurbishment projects where space is limited. The adaptability of Flo-Motion® offers the designer many different formats to suit varying needs. Useful tools such as clear opening calculators and BIM models assist with designing and specifying the right door for your project.
