Our brick special manufacturing is carried out in factory conditions to the highest standards of quality control; our British Standard brick specials are produced by the ‘cut and bond’ method and conform to BS4729. Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) is a matrix of woven glass fibre sheets layered and set within resin; it has an excellent strength to weight ratio, and can be moulded into almost any shape and size with highly detailed textures, finishes and unlimited colours.
These lightweight prefabricated solutions require little to no reinforcement in situ, and are manufactured at our in-house facilities to the highest standards using a unique process that gives us the fastest supplier times in the market.
As a lightweight alternative to brick or block construction, our Bricklite panels offer a quick and easy cladding solution. The wall panels are made to in-fill places on a building’s exterior or interior that cannot be brick or stone built due to the shape, details of the house build or structural concerns. They replicate perfectly the appearance of full brick or stone wall cladding, with less weight and less hassle.
Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) is a matrix of woven glass fibre sheets layered and set within resin. For housebuilding projects where there is no scope for brick, block or structural canopies, our GRP porch canopy solutions can be the perfect solution.
Lightweight and easy to install, our non-structural canopies make the perfect finishing touch to an outer doorway, and are available in a number of different sizes and specifications.

Colour matched, streamline canopies for South West developer
Working with a local house builder in the South West we manufactured and delivered 31 streamline canopies for their Somerset development.
Ranging in size from two to four bed family homes that had been carefully designed to fit with other properties in the village as well as offer a contemporary fix, the client chose canopies from our Streamline range.
Working with the developer and architects, we manufactured the bespoke canopies in our Pontypool factory. The lightweight and easy to install non-structural canopies were supplied ready to fit with each being colour matched as per the exterior of the individual property.
Phil Johnson, National Sales Manager for Brickfab said, “It was a pleasure working with this developer. We manufacture a range of canopies and working with the client and their team, a decision was made to choose the Streamline version. These are simple to install, lightweight and require minimal maintenance once in place. Each of the canopies was individually finished as per the client’s request so that they matched the colour of the exterior finish of the house. Most importantly, client was very pleased with the overall finish and quality, and they were all delivered on time and within the agreed budget.”
UK House Building Supplier Achieves Management and Environmental Accreditations
A Pontypool based manufacturer of prefabricated building products for the UK house building sector has been awarded the ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard and ISO 14001 Environmental Standard in recognition of their excellence of both their management systems and environmental management.
Working with RISG Solutions, the senior management team at Brickfab underwent an extensive company-wide audit that included quality management system development, a management system documentation review, pre-audit and an initial assessment. Additionally, the certification process required examining and documenting all processes and making sure, through internal audits, that processes and systems are predictable and consistent.
Mark Cox, Technical Sales Manager said, “It has been a thorough external assessment. Everyone involved has invested a lot of time and effort into achieving these accreditations. At a time when environmental responsibilities have been prioritised by many of the house builders we work with throughout the UK, we are particularly pleased that our commitment to adhering to the professional standards set by ISO 14001 has been recognised. For example, in our Pontypool and Stoke on Trent factories we are now recycling over 95% of the water used by our brick cutting machinery after installing water treatment plants in both locations, and an extensive array of solar panels at our Pontypool site.”
Commenting on their commitment to achieving both ISO accreditations, Adrian Brain, lead consultant at RISG Solutions said, “It has been a pleasure to work with such a professional and forward-looking company. Lots of business talk about their concern for the environment, Brickfab has proved that they take it seriously.”
Mark Cox continued, “Brickfab are delighted to achieve this certification at the end of a year that started with so much uncertainty for everyone. We have successfully bounced back and are already looking forward to 2022 with above average orders already placed and plans to launch a new product range and expand our Pontypool manufacturing base.”
