Acoustic Doorsets
Soundcraft range of Silentdor Acoustic Doorsets provides specifiers with comprehensive performance level that offer fire resistance as well as sound attenuation.
Front Entrance Doors
Soundcraft front entrance doors include flush doors offering security, fire resistance, weather resistance and degrees of sound attenuation.
Fire Doors and Doorsets
Soundcraft fire and smoke resisting doors and doorsets are all tested to BS476 1987 and are available as singles & pairs, single acting and double acting.
Laminate Doors and Doorsets
Soundcraft are able to provide Laminate (and PVC) faced doors and doorsets to provide impact resistant and hygienic solutions. They can be supplied lipped to show, have concealed but bevelled lippings or can be post-formed. Frames can also be faced with PVC and fire resisting doorsets are also available.
X Ray Doorsets
Soundcraft specialist X Ray doorsets provide resistance to the passage of X Rays and use lead as the radiation shield. Particular care is taken that all elements of the doorset provide a continuous X Ray shield by ensuring that architraves, frames and stops incorporate lead sheet of the requisite thickness. Sound reduction, fire resistance and a range of finishes are also available.
Timber Fire & Acoustic Screens
We provide a comprehensive range of high performance glazed timber fire and acoustic screens providing significant degress of fire resistance and sound attenuation.
Doorsets
A doorset from Soundcraft will consist of a door leaf (or leaves) hung in its frame in the factory with all essential elements - hinges, other ironmongery, glazing system and intumescent & smoke seals - fitted. Our fire doorset is a fully engineered unit from a single manufacturer, pre-assembled and covered by test evidence and third party certification.
Aluminium Windows
Soundcraft has a wide range of aluminium windows to suit most design and performance requirements. With five window options we are able to provide significant performance in the field of thermal efficiency and security. Our five options are -

Hybrid Composite Windows
Soundcraft´s Hybrid range of composite windows combine superior aesthetics with significant performance level. The combination of PEFC certified timber internally with aluminium externally provide specifiers with internal warmth and external long life and low maintenance.
Aluminium Curtain Walling
Soundcraft´s range of aluminium curtain wall systems provide specifiers with a wide choice of performance and aesthetic options. Our three systems have an almost unlimited choice of colours and are completely compatible with Soundcraft´s aluminium door and window systems.
Where security is an issue, our curtain wall systems are tested to PAS 24 and covered by Secured by Design.
Hybrid Composite Curtain Wall
Our Hybrid Composite Curtain Wall is a unique timber aluminium composite system with a wide variety of design alternatives. It is a traditional stick, compartmentally drained system. Hybrid combines the long life and low maintenance of aluminium externally with the high insulation and environmentally focused benefits of responsibly sourced engineered PEFC timber internally.

Soundcraft completes safeguarding fire door contract at Chadwell Towers
Appointed by main contractor Wates Construction, Soundcraft has undertaken the extensive fire door upgrade of three 14-storey buildings at Chadwell Towers in Essex, successfully completing the project ahead of schedule.
Originally built in the mid-sixties, the residential blocks of flats owned by Thurrock Council required the removal of existing doors and screens before work could proceeded with the installation of new FD60 fire doors and screens to the lift lobby and bin chute areas by Soundcraft teams on all 14 floors of each high-rise block.
The fire door upgrade to communal areas for Chadwell Towers dwellings now provides 60-minute integrity and insulation with Q-Mark certified fire-resistance doors, installed and constructed from solid particle board core with crown cut Sapele veneer, and the screens from solid Sapele, all finished in clear lacquer.
Meeting the challenges to deliver on the project, Managing Director Rob Thomson said: “This important upgrade across three 14-storey tower blocks called for Soundcraft’s installation expertise and precision planning to ensure that work was accomplished ahead of schedule with minimum disruption to residents. Loading out was achieved via an external hoist with access through a removed window opening, while the doors, screens and glass were stored on each floor within a refuse chute area prior to fitting by our installation team, all of which enabled the entire project to be successfully completed in little over six weeks.”
The next phase at Chadwell Towers will see Soundcraft product strengths of timber and aluminium uniquely combine, with advanced design plans for SF52 communal stairwell curtain walling screens and SPW600 windows in progress for early 2022.
The installation was carried out by Soundcraft operatives under the BM Trada Q-Mark Fire Door Installation Scheme, which provides reassurance to specifiers, contractors and end users that the product they have chosen has been installed correctly and that it should perform as intended.

Greenwich Millennium Village is testament to Soundcraft design innovation
The joint venture between Countryside and Taylor Wimpey in association with the Mayor of London defines Greenwich Millennium Village as one of the most exciting and innovative residential neighbourhoods in Europe.
Soundcraft’s successful completion of this landmark project at Greenwich Millennium Village (GMV) not only amplifies the company’s impressive portfolio across the UK’s capital, but is also testament to its capabilities, product strengths and extensive experience for delivering on high-profile eco-aware developments.
Soundcraft was appointed by leading contractor Bennett Construction to undertake supply at phases five and six for the GMV project, which encompasses more than 2,700 homes together with mixed-use commercial space at its 300-acre site located on London’s highly desirable Greenwich Peninsula.
Working closely with award-winning architects Jestico + Whiles and supply chain partner Senior Architectural Systems (SAS), the Soundcraft team applied its expertise to provide Secured by Design Aluminium Integrity Doors for communal entrance doors to all apartments, together with Pure Fold Doors to high-specification town houses, with security rated large pane door sets and glass-to-glass corners.
Fundamental for the project’s architectural design was a strong focus on innovative and energy efficiency concepts, both skilfully provided by Soundcraft to ensure light-filled living space, enabling the outdoor and indoor area to become one space with courtyard gardens.
GMV is part of the Thames Gateway regeneration project for sustainable growth and is considered to be the largest of its kind undertaken in London. With emphasis on community and amenities alongside its prime position on the Thames, project plans incorporate a new health centre, school, shops and leisure facilities together with more than 50 acres of green parkland, 12,000 planted trees, lakes, ponds and access to the adjoining a four-acre Ecology Park.
