Guardrail are specialists in the manufacture of “Ball” type Handrail Standards and Shop-fabricated handrails either in component form or fully engineered to suit Client details.

Our Industrial Hand-railing ( including "ball" type handrail posts), Vertical Access Ladder system "AXESS", Staircases and Platforms are supplied to Structural & Coastal Engineers, Architects & Consultants, Fabricators and General Industry alike. We can manufacture in Aluminium and Mild or Stainless Steel with a range of protective finishes that suit various applications.

Handrail Systems:

Current regulations require “ All platforms and walkways to have protective barriers on all open sides, consisting of a handrail, knee or intermediate rail, toe-plate and Handrail Standards”. The distance between two rails, or between the lower rail and the top of an up-stand shall be no more than 500mm.

Our handrails are offered in a variety of tube sizes and jointing styles to achieve required loadings and can be supplied in component form i.e. 90 degree, ramp, “D” or return bends with random lengths or fully engineered with erection marks for easy site installation.

All handrails can be supplied in Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium.

AXESS - Vertical Ladder System

Guardrail’s "AXESS" vertical permanent ladder system is of a safe, simple modular design offering individual parts which bolt together to form a complete ladder. Parts are usually kept ex stock for quick delivery or can be supplied as a complete ladder once the floor to floor dimension is given. This system tries to eliminate the need for expensive site surveys and the preparation of detail drawings which adds to delivery time.

Open Mesh Flooring

Guardrail fabricated bar gratings for use as flooring areas and stairtreads on walkways, bridges, staircases and platforms etc. We offer a numerous combination of mesh sizes, load bars ( serrated or plain ), materials and dimensions to suit a wide range of applications.

Kick Flat System

Protective barriers on open sides of walkways and platforms should, in part, consist of a kick-flat ( or toe-board ) to restrict objects falling from height and causing possible injury.

Guardrail’s “C” section kick-flat system is usually available ex-stock in either 3000 or 6000mm Galvanised lengths which can be cut on site or shop-fabricated to suit Customer requirements.

The system is easy to install and can be “retro” fitted using our range of connectors, joints and end caps. The system is also available in Aluminium and Stainless Steel.

Our safety gratings are used in a wide range of industries. As part of PF Group we provide gratings and steps, which are produced in accordance with applicable standards and norms.

Guardrail is able to supply both mesh and safety gratings for use in Industry, Construction, Offshore, Energy and Transport sector. Our gratings has the right properties for each environment.
