John Guest hits landmark 60 years of trust and innovation

The original push-fit inventors, John Guest, part of the RWC family of brands, celebrates 60 years since the brand’s inception.
Established in 1961 by John Guest, the company developed the world’s first push-fit technology designed initially for compressed air in 1974. Created to make installations faster and easier, this technology is now used across the globe, including power-steering systems in automotive to food grade applications in drinks dispense and water treatment, through to plumbing and heating, telecoms, compressed air and OEM solutions. Under the iconic John Guest and JG Speedfit brands, the core technology has not only been revolutionising multiple industries for decades, but the exposure to application specific challenges has led to a diverse bank of engineering expertise where innovation and learnings from one industry get applied in another.

JG Speedfit once again crowned ‘Best Plumbing Brand’ at BMJ Industry Awards

JG Speedfit, an RWC brand, has won the ‘Best Plumbing Brand’ title at the BMJ Industry Awards 2019 for the second year running.
The awards event is run by the Builders Merchants Journal (BMJ) Magazine in the UK, and celebrates the very best brands, merchants and people at the heart of the builders’ merchant sector. This year, JG Speedfit beat Hunter Plastics and Plumco to the ‘Best Plumbing Brand’ accolade, which was announced on 17th May 2019 at The Brewery, London.
The award is unique in that only industry professionals can nominate and vote for their favourite brands and merchants. This means JG Speedfit was selected by merchants and people who sell and use its products every day in the UK, instead of a single judging panel.
