Axis Flo-Motion® Doors Win BBH Award
At the 17th Building Better Healthcare Awards held recently at The Brewery in Central London, Axis Flo-Motion® Manual Sliding Doors won the Best Internal Building Product Award.
In total, 28 trophies were handed out, along with highly commended certificates, recognising the products, environments, services and people who keep the health service operating effectively and efficiently.
Prizes were presented by celebrity host, Gethin Jones, in four main classes - Building Design, Estates and Facilities Management, Patient Experience and Products. The judges were very impressed with the Axis doors and said “This is a very clever door design which met and exceeded very exacting technical standards”.
The BBH Award completes an impressive hat trick of awards for Flo-Motion® doors that were originally developed specially for the new Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool. Earlier this year they won the Laing O’Rourke Northern Innovation Award and this was followed in October by the IHEEM (Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estates Management) Award for Product Innovation.
Since their launch to the general market at the Healthcare Estates Exhibition in October, they have already generated a significant level of interest and a large number of sales enquiries with details of further contracts awarded expected to be announced soon.
