Altro safety flooring keeps soldiers on their feet
Yardley Chase Cadet Training Centre is a new £7.2 million facility. Architect firm Maber Associates selected a number of Altro safety flooring products for the centre. Altro Aquarius™, Altro Suprema™ II, Altro Wood Safety™ and Altro Stronghold™ 30 were installed by Direct Floor Systems for GF Tomlinson.
Altro Aquarius was used in the shower and changing rooms. Altro Aquarius was developed for lasting performance in wet and dry, shoes or barefoot. Achieving a pendulum test value of TRRL ≥50 and Class B to DIN51097 for barefoot use, Altro Aquarius provides optimum lifetime sustained slip-resistance in wet and dry environments.
For the kitchen, Altro Stronghold 30 was used. Altro Stronghold 30 is Altro’s specialist commercial kitchen flooring, and is ideal for areas where grease, oil and fats may be present. It achieves Altro’s highest rating for slip resistance (TRRL≥55, R12). It is designed to minimise risk in wet and greasy conditions for the lifetime of the flooring. As well as helping to keep staff safe from slips, it also helps reduce their fatigue, thanks to its 3mm thickness which provides noise reduction and comfort underfoot.
For the dining room, Altro Wood Safety was used to create a homely and comforting look without compromising on safety.
For corridors and meeting rooms, design-lead Altro Suprema II was used. Altro Suprema II is a stunning, non-sparkle safety flooring that boasts 40 colour shades will match the mood you want to create.
