The flexibility, smooth application and proven performance of ICB's Evalon® V single ply waterproofing membrane has provided the perfect roofing solution for a new 450 home residential development in Maidenhead currently under construction for Micheal Shanly Homes.

Located less than a mile from Maidenhead town centre, the Boulters Meadow development includes a mix of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, as well as 3 and 4 bedroom semi-detached and detached houses. A tried and tested roofing system was required that would protect both houses and apartments from the elements.

Offering world class waterproofing qualities, more than 3,500m2 of Alwitra Evalon® V and VG membranes were specified in two colours - Slate Grey and Light Green. Installed by specialist contractor MIP Roofing, the unique Evalon® membrane delivers the ultimate in low cost, long term solutions.

"The system is very adaptable and easy to use for different applications," said Martin Petrie, Director of MIP Roofing. "Evalon® goes down brilliantly and has ensured that this large project has been a smooth and hassle-free application."

Evalon® is fully compatible with bitumen and most types of insulation board - including polystyrene EPS, XPS, PIR and cellular glass. With excellent chemical resistance, it provides a reliable protective membrane against inclement weather and a city-centre environment to ensure the building remains protected for years to come.

With the application of the high performance Evalon® membrane from ICB, MIP Roofing and Michael Shanly Homes has helped to deliver a top quality aesthetic finish and provide watertight homes fit for the 21st century.
