Safetell acquires Security Installations division of Gunnebo UK
Gunnebo Security Installations (GSI) a division of Gunnebo UK Limited was acquired on 1st November 2013 by Safetell Limited
Safetell is a designer, manufacturer, installer and service provider for a diverse range of physical security products nationwide and increasingly to wider markets.
Chubb Security Installations (CSI) was created in 1968 by Chubb Security to provide physical security products to protect retail and commercial business premises and employees from attack was acquired by Gunnebo in 2004 and rebranded as Gunnebo Security Installations.
During its long history the CSI business built a reputation for providing well known high quality physical security products, valued in the industry. With this reputation in mind Safetell has committed to continuing supply of the same valued physical security products at the same high quality under the brand name of CSI by Safetell.

Gunnebo and Safetell have competed very little in recent years, supplying different products to differing market sectors. Given this coexistence Safetell see excellent potential for the expansion of both the CSI and Safetell brands through coordinated management.
Like Safetell, Gunnebo Security Installations (GSI), is also a leading provider of Bullet Resistant and Anti-Attack Security Screens, Counterwork, Security Doors, Security Glazing, Cash Scoops, NightPay Hatches, and other bespoke physical security products.
Combining this product range and GSI staff with Safetell’s existing sales and support structure is designed to increase the performance of both business areas.
Gunnebo UK will continue to promote and sell the GSI product range to its valid customer base while the project management and installation activities will be handled by Safetell. Drawing on the extensive industry experience, and the strengths of both companies, Gunnebo UK and Safetell will work together to provide an extended range of physical security products and services. This strategic partnership will benefit Gunnebo’s valued customers and improve the quality and
range of products and services while Safetell will pursue new marketing opportunities with an expanded product range backed by an experienced team.
