Perforated Image Facade Panels

August 2014

E E Ingleton have completed supply of perforated image panels for the new Riverside development at Kingston upon Thames, using their new PicPerf© image perforation system.

Ingletons worked closely with Cadisch MDA ltd & architects by Haworth Tomkins on the project, basing the perforated images on a classic motion study by the Victorian photographer Eadweard Mybridge and a photograph of the local river scene.

The perforated panels produce a subtle image during daylight hours, and are then LED back-lit to stunning effect during the evening. The visually striking installation greatly enhances the atmosphere of the setting for visitors to the café bars & shops.

Ingletons also used the PicPerf© system to produce the perforated lace feature panels for Debenhams flagship store on Oxford Street in London as well as the 187,000 perforated shingles that make up the store’s spectacular kinetic façade, working for Dane Architectural Systems & architects Archial NORR.
