NEW MANAGER APPOINTED AT HOWARTH DEWSBURY

January 2012

A new manager is at the helm at Howarth Timber & Building Supplies’ store in Dewsbury.

Jamie Skinner, who’s 30 and from Ripponden, has been appointed to the role and brings with him more than a decade’s experience of retail merchanting from other timber and building retailers.

“I’m now using my knowledge to ensure those in the trade in Dewsbury continue to get the best service from Howarth’s,” said Jamie. “It’s a very tough market and we’re doing our best to ensure construction professionals are able to offer their customers high quality, reliable products.”

Jamie’s plans are to expand the building products side of the business to match the extensive array of timber on offer at the Hirst Road merchants.

“By offering a comprehensive product range we’re able to help customers get everything they need in one visit, and so cut down on the time and inconvenience of chasing around to fulfil their order,” added Jamie.

The branch currently employs seven people and has recently installed kitchen and flooring displays, alongside the traditional timber and building products.
