Following the recent announcements of further lockdown restrictions across the UK, the Government has again stated that construction and manufacturing should continue to operate throughout this period. Ibstock remains open for business and all of our sites will be operational to support the supply chain and keep Britain building.
Over the past few months we have introduced a wide range of enhanced protocols to ensure compliance with social distancing, hygiene and Government guidelines regarding COVID-19 at all of our factory and office locations to make them COVID-secure. These include temperature screening technology at the entrances of each site, designated sanitation stations and changes to workspaces and shift patterns. We have also invested in technology to support remote working for our staff and to digitise our processes to reduce the need for the transfer of paper and minimise the amount of contact needed on site for collections and deliveries. These modifications to our working practices give us the confidence that we are well placed to continue our operations during the period of tighter restrictions.
The health and safety of our people, customers and suppliers are of primary importance and we continue to monitor the situation closely. We regularly review our procedures and protocols and will adapt them accordingly over the coming weeks and months in line with Government advice.
