TROX Presents a New Type of Air Purifier

TROX has launched a new type of air purifier to the market demonstrating what the ventilation and air conditioning industry can do to address some of the issues we currently face.
The unit represents the ideal solution for indoor areas where there is insufficient mechanical ventilation. The two-stage high-performance filter system can remove well over 99.95 percent of viruses from the air using a highly efficient H13 HEPA filter. The unit has a capacity of 1,600 m3/h, which means it is also suitable for larger rooms such as classrooms, conference rooms or restaurants. In normal operation, the air flow rate is around 1,000 m3/h.
As always with TROX, energy efficiency and user-friendly handling are also priorities. The filter system with its intelligent V-shaped arrangement has a filter area of around 47 m². This means long filter lives which is great news for Facilities Managers: the HEPA filter only needs to be replaced after about 2 years. The energy requirement is very low – only 0.095 kW with an air flow rate of 1,000 m3/h.
For use in classrooms or conference rooms, quiet operation and draught-free air distribution are crucial. The air purifier operates as quietly as a modern PC fan. In contrast to many air purifiers on the market, the purified air is fed into the room above head height, bringing benefits in terms of comfort and safety.
