Given the ever changing situation with Covid-19 and the Government’s plans to relax current restrictions, we would like to take this opportunity to provide an update on the services AKW can offer during this challenging time.
On 1st June 2020, a small percentage of AKW colleagues returned to the business to enable us to resume taking customer orders and processing deliveries. To ensure the wellbeing of everyone, the vast majority of our staff members continue to work remotely, however, strict measures have been put in place to protect those few who are required to work on our sites.
We are extremely happy to be able to fulfill the requirements of our customers and the users of our products, who are often the most vulnerable members of our society. We also appreciate the hard work our teams continue to put in, and the patience our customers have displayed whilst we adjust to this new way of operating our business.

In recent weeks we have welcomed back a small number of our field-based sales team who are able to offer information and advice about our products. As many of our colleagues are still away from the business and to help us process orders in a timely manner, we ask that you not use any other phone numbers or email addresses to try and place an order with us.
For now, we are offering a two-day delivery service, however, if next day delivery is absolutely essential, then we will of course endeavour to help wherever we possibly can. In addition, we are pleased to be able to provide contact free deliveries nationwide, another measure implemented to minimise the risk for our customers and employees.
Our Droitwich Spa Trade Counter click and collect service is open for collections between the hours of 8am – 4pm with additional health and safety precautions put in place. Orders can be placed online to be ready to collect within just one hour.
We are very pleased to announce that our surveying service has resumed with a small number of our surveyors now able to undertake kitchen and bathroom visits nationally. Our surveyors have been provided with appropriate PPE and new protocols and procedures have been developed to ensure the safety of everyone during visits.

If you require technical support, our helpline can provide assistance with arranging urgent service visits for our most vulnerable customers, or key workers whose shower is their only method of washing. These visits will be conducted by a member of our maintenance team. For urgent technical support, contact us on 01905 560 219.
We can confirm that we hold very high stock levels across all our product ranges, including wet room formers, electric and mixer showers, safety flooring, tiles and wallboards, mobility aids and lighting.
Whatever job you are looking to complete, our AKW One service provides all the materials needed to adapt a bathroom, including plywood and timber, tiling accessories and plumbing fittings, and dispatches them to site in one swift contact free delivery, for a faster and easier installation, which ensures minimal contact with other people.

While we are very glad to have resumed many of our services and have welcomed back some of our colleagues, to ensure that we can provide a safe working environment and can meet our customers’ expectations, we are proactively reviewing the situation and taking into consideration Government guidelines on a daily basis.
This means that for now, we will operate with a reduced number of staff in our warehouse and across our support functions, many of whom are working flexibly from home. Therefore, as we navigate our way through these truly unprecedented times, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding as we are all doing our very best to help those in need of our assistance.
