Flexseal - COVID-19: FLEXSEAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

May 2020

Updated 6th April 2020

We are navigating our way through the conditions in our market, and as promised we will continue to communicate our position with you.

We have a dedicated but reduced team servicing the requirements of the market which is mostly limited to supply the essential services area of the industry. I’m proud to say we have delivered to several hospitals, sewerage works, etc.

Whilst we have the ability to deliver on time, our courier partners have communicated the below feedback.

At this point our service levels remain unaffected.

Feedback from our courier
Our courier DPD asked us to pass on a message. On occasion, when delivering to sites or branches open and accepting deliveries, access has been stopped with locked gates and no contact details to gain authorised access. This is causing some orders to be unnecessarily returned to Flexseal. To help us successfully deliver essential products, could we ask customers who are accepting deliveries to allocate area’s for essential product drop offs or put your own systems in place to accept deliveries.

We will endeavour to work with you all and trust everyone is remaining safe and keeping to government guidelines.

Thank You
Ricky Hasprey, National Sales Manager

As we head into uncertain times, our first thoughts are with you, our families, colleagues and the wider community. We trust everyone is staying safe and following your local government advice.

Following our government announcement last night, we believe Flexseal are critical to the “essential services” market and therefore remain open and serving our customers in the UK and International markets.

Every effort has been made to protect our staff, customers and the wider community and as a result many of our staff are working from home. Our production capabilities are working over split shifts to limit the amount of people in the building at any one time and to maximise social distancing in our work areas.

At this time, our service continues as normal. Should this change, we will communicate accordingly.

During the early stages of the stricter enforcements announced by our PM yesterday, we will be calling ahead before making any deliveries to ensure they can be received.

If you have any questions, concerns or need to discuss ways in which we can support you or your business further, please contact the relevant team using the contacts list on the second page of the PDF announcement, visit www.flexseal.co.uk

Updated 18th March 2020

As we closely monitor the impact COVID-19 outbreak has on our business, we are committed to continually keeping our customers, suppliers and stakeholders up to speed with changing circumstances, how we’re reacting and the impact to you.

Above all else our very top priority is the health and welfare of our people and the wider community, followed by keeping the supply of goods constant and uninterrupted.

We’re taking UK Government guidance by reducing contact points between people, both within our business and outside. Here is how:

All meetings external to the business are now limited to conference calls or video links.
Staff are working from home where possible, meaning only production and operational critical staff will be onsite.
We still have all resources available at our disposal to service customers to high standards and we don’t expect these standards to reduce.

At this moment in time our supply chain remains uninterrupted and our production plan is still on schedule. We don’t anticipate any shortfalls in the supply of goods.

We’ll increase our formal communication during the COVID-19 outbreak period to ensure, where possible, we see minimal impacts to our businesses.

If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 01226 340 222 or customer.services@flexseal.co.uk
