Unique surface designs for modern bathroom design
For many years, wedi GmbH has provided innovative solutions and handy construction elements which, thanks to their modular construction, can be used to bring modern room designs for bathrooms and wet rooms of all types to life easily, quickly, and reliably. The company from Emsdetten is continually expanding its product portfolio in the process: wedi's Top range, offering modern design surfaces for unlimited bathroom design, is a new addition to the range.
Until now, wedi has predominantly been known in Germany for its high-quality construction elements made from polystyrene hard foam which provide the user with plenty of design freedom and reliability within the system. The Top range offers outstanding surface designs in a natural stone look and is the seamless alternative to classic tiling. The ready-to-install design surfaces are available as Fundo Top for flush-to-floor showers and as wedi Top Wall for walls and other even surfaces. With the Top range, wedi reinforces its status as a leading manufacturer and systems provider for wet rooms in Europe and North America.
Seamless and low-maintenance
The new design surfaces create a seamless, attractive, and low-maintenance surface and are available in a variety of colours. The elements are made from high-quality coloured materials and, thanks to their timeless colouring, fit into almost every bathroom design. Fundo Top is available in the colours white, grey, and anthracite black, wedi Top Wall offers design surfaces in a natural stone look in grey and anthracite black.
Unique natural stone look
The special bit: in the latter two colour variants, each element is a unique piece. The natural stone look is made possible by a composite material made from mineral and vinyl components. As in nature, therefore, there may be slight colour and surface differences from element to element. This is what gives the robust and scratch-resistant design surfaces their unmistakeable and unique character.
In contrast to classic tiles, the wedi design elements are seamless, meaning that a surface can be designed without optical interruption. In the process, the high-quality raw material ensures that the material remains hygienic in the long term: the surfaces are resistant to detergents, prevent mould growth, and have an antibacterial effect.
Easy installation with no drilling or screwing
Fundo Top can be combined however you like with the Primo, Riolito neo and Plano shower elements and provides a system which is a perfect match, both technically and optically. wedi Top Wall can be applied to any even surface (whether it’s tiles during a bathroom renovation, wedi building boards, plaster, or plasterboard), can easily be cut to the desired size and - whether in a new build or a renovation - provide an outstanding result. With the universally usable wedi Top Wall, you can do more than just clad walls. wedi Top Wall can also be used as bath cladding or as a splash guard. Thanks to secure bonding using wedi 610, installation is done entirely without drilling and screws.
