ACO LAUNCHES SUSTAINABLE BLUE ROOF ATTENUATION SYSTEM

ACO Building Drainage has launched ‘ACO RoofBloxx’ – a complete roof attenuation system for blue, and blue/green roofs.

ACO RoofBloxx enables end users to store rainwater at source, control surface water run-off and mitigate the impact of urban development. The system can also be used for the creation of passive irrigation systems.

Comprising a shallow, high-strength, adjustable geocellular storage void and roof outlet flow control system, ACO RoofBloxx is fully compatible with ACO roof outlets, downpipes and surface water drainage systems. Hydraulic design guidance is also provided as standard by ACO’s in-house technical design team, using bespoke software.

Andy Buchan, Divisional Managing Director of ACO Building Drainage, comments: “The ACO RoofBloxx system enables architects to create imaginative, multi-functional open green spaces at roof or podium level. It enables engineers and architects to effectively deal with surface water in an ever-changing climate and has an important part to play in the development of the sustainable urban environments which society wants and needs.”
