Keeping up with the sealants
Whilst Derbyshire was basking in the glorious sunshine in June, Adshead Ratcliffe took delivery of a brand new cartridge filling machine. The machine was easily installed and is now up and running smoothly and enhances the service provided to customers.
The new machine will facilitate rapid cartridge filling of Arbo’s high performance sealants, and removes a bottleneck in the manufacturing process, where continued sustained growth in the production of material was rapidly outgrowing the capacity to fill off the product. In addition the new equipment has the potential to reduce single use plastic packaging. The new machine works three time faster than the previous machine and can produce in excess of 50 cartridges per minute. Additionally, as with all new equipment it requires minimal maintenance and much less setup time reducing the downtime.
Mr Roger Sheehan, Adshead Ratcliffe’s Operations Director added “the new machine is one of our many investments, that will help drive efficiency and help us to serve our growing range of customers globally through improved production and stock availability”.
