Component Developments Design Drainage for All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club

The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club also known as the All England Club is based in Church Road, Wimbledon. It is a private members club and is probably best known as the venue for the Wimbledon Championships.
Component Developments was approached to design, manufacture and supply a specialist drainage solution to their changing area. There was already an existing, failing drainage channel in place which was going to need to be replaced.
One of Component Developments representatives went to site to see where the problems were, and to design the solution to suit the All England Club’s exact needs. It was decided to re-use the existing gratings which were in good condition but to manufacture a new, much more capable drainage channel.
The final design was a 15 metre long drainage channel, with a recess to suit the 25mm deep existing gratings. The drainage channel had a level invert flat based system due to the depth restrictions on site.
