Bespoke wall protection at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital
The Royal Bournemouth Hospital’s ‘Jigsaw Building’, housing cancer treatment facilities and a new Women’s Health Unit, welcomed patients for the first time in 2015.
As part of the interior design, expansive wall murals featuring familiar seaside scenes were specified for key locations within the hospital.
Due to its durability, resistance to damage and easy clean qualities, CS Acrovyn by Design® was identified as the best medium for delivering the artwork in busy hospital areas. Installed in the Oncology Recliner Bay and in the Breast Care Subwait, vibrant Acrovyn by Design® murals create a positive distraction and a calming, soothing environment for patients and visitors.
In addition, a range of CS Acrovyn Profiles, including hand/crash rails, corner guards and bed head protection, were specified for other areas of the hospital to protect interior surfaces from damage and help to reduce on-going maintenance cost.
