HALFEN ψ-Calculator – Thermal bridge calculation tool for HALFEN HIT Insulated connection

HALFEN HIT Insulated connections are load-bearing thermal insulation elements for thermal separation of concrete structures. Calculations of thermal bridges are required as part of the thermal insulation verification according to the (EPC) Energy Performance Certification (EnEV Energieeinsparverordnung).

ψ-values are required to design the structure to calculate the thermal bridges in the balcony connections. These essential key values are provided by HALFEN.

With the help of the new and innovative HALFEN ψ-Calculator you can quickly and professionally calculate the physical properties of your current installation situation using HALFEN HIT Insulated connections.

Five easy stages are required to enter the necessary parameters:
Wall design
Wall construction
Slab details
Windows / doors
HALFEN HIT Insulated connection (type)
For calculation, a selection between a (ETICS) External Thermal Insulation Composite System, a monolithic or double-leaf or a sandwich wall construction can be made. All wall constructions consist of different layers, for example, the exterior render, insulation or the load-bearing layer. The thermal conductivity, materials and the dimensions of the various layers can be defined in following stages. To simplify input, typical standard materials with their properties are available for quick selection. Windows and doors above a balcony can also be considered with this tool.

The results of the ψ-value calculation are available as a concise .pdf with all relevant parameters and can be printed out and included in your project documentation. Individual project details can be included in the PDF output. Using a link, previous defined installation situations can always be reused; these can be edited or adapted to new conditions.
